The design allows flexibility of the skirt shroud to always be in contact with the floor. I have to modify the metal shroud for dust suction so am going to resize the shroud to fit the skirt. It gives you the ability to run your machine with almost any dust containment system.

Replacement dust skirt for onfloor floor grinders. The metal shroud on my clarke floor polisher is actually 18 5 inches in diameter. I knew the skirt was only 16 in. It adapts perfectly to your 17 or 20 floor machine and allows your machine to run with any dust containment system or dry vacuum cleaner.
