Tapestry looms also called frame looms these are extremely easy to warp and weave. For those tapestry weavers who work on a much smaller scale we have our cantilever style looms in 24 36 and 48 widths. Of course the traditional tapestry loom made of mortise and tenon joinery strong oak wood and starting at 60 widths is a familiar design used by many tapestry artists. No need for a warping board just stretch the warp yarn from top to bottom back and forth across the loom.

The loom is the fundamental tool of the weaver and there is no doubt that weavers and looms form a special bond as they work together to create project after project. Sheds are formed using heddle bars and string heddles or texsolv heddles. Examples are the harrisville rug loom and the tissart tapestry loom. Examples are the mirrix and the glimakra freja loom.
